Evelyn’s Place began with a simple idea in 2023: create a welcoming space where creativity thrives and the community can find truly unique gifts. I have poured my heart into supporting makers and small business owners, building a vibrant collective, and making every visit feel special for our customers

Who is Evelyn and why is this her place?

With so many customers coming through our doors, it’s not uncommon for people to assume that “Evelyn” is the owner behind the counter. In reality, Evelyn’s Place is named in honour of the beautiful town I call home—Mount Evelyn, Victoria.
When it came time to choose a name for our collective, I wanted something that would capture the spirit of the local community and reflect our commitment to supporting local makers, artists, and small businesses. “Evelyn’s Place” felt like the perfect fit: it’s a welcoming, inclusive name that pays tribute to the place where this journey began and continues to grow.
Evelyn’s Place is a celebration of Mount Evelyn’s creative heart. Each product on our shelves is made with love by people from our region and beyond, all coming together under one roof to offer something truly special to locals and visitors alike. Naming the store after Mount Evelyn is my way of honouring the town’s history, its people, and the sense of community that makes this place so unique.
So while you won’t find an “Evelyn” here, you’ll always find a warm welcome, a passion for supporting small businesses, and a little piece of Mount Evelyn in everything we do.
