Forever Lasting Flowers

Throughout my life I’ve always had a passion for creativity which took on my forms including floral art.My first career was as a legal secretary for over a decade – not so creative but liaising with solicitors and business people helped hone in on active listening, communication and business administration skills which helped me in the transition into my own business.So you may wonder how did I end up in flowers? Well when our 4th child was born I decided it was time to get creative so I enrolled to study floristry and graduated in 2003 embarking on a career initially in the fresh flower industry.A few years later hearing that I was a professional florist a local community church invited me to make 2 silk floral arrangements for them. Working with artificial flowers was a new experience and gave me a chance to use my expertise using the elements and principles of design in an exciting new way.Since 2006 I have run a silk flower rental business to enliven reception areas which is still operational today.2019-2024 I open a retail gift shop and studio space in Ringwood. During this time I specialised in the design and creation of dried and preserved  flower arrangements.My beautiful landlord  passed away in 2023 and the property has just been sold.  It was a special season but now the dried flower and gift business is diversifying into new locations including Evelyn’s Place which is ideal for me as I transition into new opportunities and horizons for the season ahead.
